These
internal sealing methods can be used where a large number of adjacent
joints are to be sealed. They are also very useful where there would
be problems in digging up a joint every twelve feet.
In-Weg
In-Weg is a rubber seal that is installed over each pipe joint on
man-entry pipes. Water, waste-water, sewer and gas pipes can be
sealed with different types of rubber. Minimum pipe diameter is
usually 20" (500mm) but short lengths of 16" (400mm) can also be
sealed. The maximum size we have supplied to date is 144" (3660mm).
Mainspray
Mainspray
is a method of internally sealing cast iron joints under live gas
conditions by locating each pipe joint and spraying a special two-part
anaerobic sealant into the joint packing.
Up
to 400 ft. can be sealed from one tapping in the pipe. (200 ft.
either way)
Mainspray
is for low and medium pressure pipes from 4" through 48".
