PLCS offers a range of live shutdown techniques for distribution pressure natural gas lines.

The products are designed to provide control of natural gas during planned maintenance of a main and to control the release of gas to atmosphere that can occur as a result of third party damage to a line.

Products range from removable inflatable balloon stoppers to a permanent foam shutdown that is used as a part of a program of system upgrades or mains replacement programs

PLCS shutdown products operate under "open-hole" conditions, when a limited amount of gas escapes to atmosphere for the duration of the maintenance, and under "gas free" conditions, when the entire operation is conducted using valved equipment that eliminates any gas escaping to atmosphere.
